Erm.
Oops.
*kicks feet and swings legs for a bit*
You know that animation I was doing? The one I've been doing for about a year and a half now?
Well it's kinda been accidently deleted.
*looks around some more*
I didn't mean to.
Really.
And... err... well, the backups have gone too.
That's about fifty minutes of work that's gone. Most of it hasn't been seen because I couldn't be arsed to upload it.
So...
err...
Damn.
Sorry.
Windows told me that everything in my My Documents file would be deleted. So I backed that up. It forgot to tell me that everything in my Desktop folder would be deleted too. My own fault really, should have guessed.
Can't do much now anywho.
I'm not helping, am I :S
Most of the work went into the actual designing of the characters and set pieces. Most of the -time- went into rendering, because I've got a slow computer. Take 1 minute of animation as 10 hours of rendering.
Take 50 minutes as 3,000 seconds. Then take 90,000 frames as that.
90,000 frames of animation. Then take into account the painful, and I do mean painful, process of having to lip synch all the voices, which I ended up doing myself because nobody would help.
Then adding music, designing how each scene would be set up, making sure each calculation was right, otherwise 10 hours later, I'd have to do it all again.
I didn't exactly work on it every hour of the day. But I did quite enough work to not bother starting again if it ever got deleted.
I'm probably going to animate Amneshire now instead. At least I've still got everything I've learnt from animating the Fog Stories.
Ah well.
So you're just talking about a little bit?
Or is it the whole lot?
And that's only 50 minutes work?
Erm.
Oops.
