We have all been sucked into a 'console wars' topic at one time or another, generally, though they may not have been based on friendly rivalry, they were discussed within a context, opinions amoungst peers...

apprearing with greater frequency, and with Christmas steadily encroaching, what affect will this have on the fickle consumers shopping habits?

It's probably more to do with SNES games, as they regularly went at stupid prices (Super Street Fighter Turbo was over £70 on launch etc).

Those days are gone. GC games are inexpensive. No-one cares.

Indeed, GC discs are very well priced. But I think the problem is with stuff sold in the 90's - the N64 days.

Nintendo rips people off? yes, they may have been fined for selling expenisve games, but that is a lot of the publishers faults. Plus GC games are cheaper than XBox and PS2 (mainly).
