"Sports v Shot 'em ups - which is best?"

Hard decision skateboarding and football games have long tournaments and fun events, but I do like the occasional body part flying around from injuries. So which is better, Sports or Shot 'em ups.?

They're my favourite type of game nowadays, ever since strategy games become unplayable in the leap to 3D (hopefully Total Annihilation 2 will fix that)

Both types of games are highly-enjoyable as multiplayers.
But on-line, there is only one winner....

I agree actually!! Sports games are more fun with another person but a bit repetitve on there own!!
Shoot em ups are usually better for the single player!!

Like Dead Wonder said, why try and decide? They're different genres, they requuire different things from the player, you are striving for a different goal

why choose when you can have WBA vs sheffield united equal amounts of violence,injuries and sport.

thats another reason i dont really like sports games

the only difference in them is the graphics really
they just get better as time passes

shoot em ups, cos personnaly i find most sports repetitive and boring.
