sorry to spam up your forums, but i have to ask you a question. this is a thread from the nintedno forum, in which a clearly very angry person has given his veiws.
I am here mearly to voice my own opinion on the gamecube, so if i make anyone angry whist doing so, i am apologising in advance.
The gamecube is a console made for little kiddies, comon what do games like pikmin and mario sunshine do for adults, its bloody moronic. the games on the gamecube are mainly aimed at younger kids, therefore the PS2 and the Xbox particularly, are for more mature gamers. all you people out there who have wasted thier hard earned cash for such a rubbish excuse for a 3rd generation games console, should be ashamed of theselves. the xbox is now getting a wider range of games and BETTER games than the gamecube and the PS2 has always been on top with the amount of games it has. Furthermore i would also like to say that i think that nientendo have been going backwards from the days of the super nientendo, that really was a milestone in the days of the gaming industry. since then they have been taking clasic games from the super snes and making then into some of the most ugly looking games ever seen, the latest of them being Zelda on the gamecube. The gamecube console is not even that good, apart from the lack of mature games, it can't play dvd's or audio cd's. furthermore although the console is small.....doesn't have some massive adaptor u need to attact to the console before it works, whereas the Xbox and the Ps2 already have the adaptor built inside them.
i have just stated the point of my argument, and i think this is as good as it will ever get for the gamecube......as people will start to relise that the xbox and the ps2 are much better options and furthermore they are all now around the same price region.
to conclude my debate i will like to state that i think that the xbox is the best console on the market and it will overtake the Ps2 in the forthcoming year.......you don't believe me?.........just wait and find out.

Well im getting a PS2 for christmas, and another xbox in a weeks time (thank god they dropped the price).
And i find that the diffrence is not kiddy or mature but like someone said realistic and non-realistic games... although i dont think anyone REALLY knows what shooting a zombie is like and stuff.
The reason why i like the PS2 is games such as GTA3 which is just a game to play anytime you have spare timeas you can shoot people then quickly power off as you havent really lost any game info.
GC is good as i like the games which arnt realistic, mario and pikmin, as i find the challenges in them you can not find on realistic games.
Xbox, well this one is easy, the god damn amazing XBOX live...also the game coming out now from 3rd party developers are starting to use the power of the xbox. Instead of making a simple port or a rushed game they are using as many textures and graphical tweaks as possible.

Welcome to our world mate - we've been putting up with that kind of post for ages.
My opinion is pretty much the same apart from nintendo are now trying to release more adult games, which is good but there aint enough of them there are to masny graqphic games like pikmin mario none of them are realistic, so really thr ecube should be targeted at the younger age group.

Damn I am a fool and didnt even read your post properly. Went in to the Nintendo forum and saw the post and it was from someone else not you. So cam back in here read the post and found out my reply below was not a reply to your question. *Learns to read posts more carefully*.
Anyway I think that this guy is a Moron. He's obvously someone who cant see each console as being good in a certain aspect. All consoles are great and offer something for everyone. He's probably a guy who will tell you the music you listen to is rubbish just because he doesnt like it. Ignore him and hopefully he will leave :).

Well I think the GC is great. Its not really that kiddie, I am 20 and own a GC and think Mario Sunshine is a great game. Nintendo may have a kiddie image, but there games arent. Yes they seem kiddie, but there FUN and thats what counts.
