I have heard this many a time from people all over the shot, and I'm sure you have too.
So if that's the case, what were computers made for?
Well some people say they were made for typing letters, to replace the type-writer, meaning no tippex is needed, making letters more presentable for businesses.
Some people might say they were intended for graphical design, whether that be to create newspapers, posters or even architectural plans.
Some might go as far as saying computers were intended to allow animations and other multimedia applications to be produced and ran, due to their high power and graphics capabilities.
So do you believe any of the above uses were originally thought of as use for computers? Or do you still believe that videogames were and are the primary intention for computers?

World War 2 was in process and there was a code that needed to be cracked so that Britain would always have the upper hand when it came to Germany's attacks on Britain.
However, Winston Churchill and the government used information they cracked very carefully, making sure they don't let the Germans know that they cracked the code. But that's another story...
