Just imagine it, a world without games consoles, and computer games. No, PS2's or X-box's, no Megadrives, or Snes's. What would we all do instead in our free time? Would we become better people, more sociable, would it make the communities better and as a result less crime etc. Maybe, maybe not, we will never know. Thats because console gaming is a very big business in the world today, more of a business for some people than actual fun. What would you do without games. It would be a major loss in many of our sad lives, i would play more guitar and probably go out more.

Well heres my few pence worth...
I actually think consoles are a really good thing as long as you control you gaming times, take myself for example..
Im at university studying computer science it entails with lots of course work, revsion and presently a 15,000 word dissertation, therefore you can imagine the stress I go through (or maybe you couldn't) my point is whether your working away like mad at school, college, uni or at you place of work, you need to chill out in order to stay sane and have a few enjoyable hours, therefore I use my PS 2 as something to take my mind off the work load and its something I enjoy as long as I don't get too hooked on it and control my gaming needs.
I believe I do this quite well.
