Well the new site is up and runing this morning so go and have a look - tombraider.com.

The look of the game doesn't seem to ghave changed that much from the screenshots and they certainly dont look to be that stunning. I played the first and second ones on psx and still think the first was the best, I started Last revelation on DC but it was nothing new and I never got into it.

I think this is one that I will want to play a demo of first before considering trying the whole game - let's hope it can live up to the hype that will no doubt build up around it.

Ive never really got into the Tomb raider games, its nots really somehing I'd go for, however if The next Gen is any good, I may think about getting it although think i'll try a demo first. I hope they make it different and put more emphasis in "small details"

Hated all the tomb raider games

And I haven't seen any screenshots of the new one, but it might be OK since they've been working on it for ages (or maybe they've just started recently, who knows?)

Oh, and check out the movies form, I've posted a new spoof - The Strykeinator

I'm not afraid to admit that when I first played the original Tomb Raider - it blew me away. It was amazing.
I hope I can relive those feelings with TR Next-gen.
I just hope they keep the desolate atmosphere and the puzzle-based gameplay, and don't overkill it with too much mindless action.

Multi player is probably a bad idea for Tomb Raider as other games already do this far better than Tomb Raider could ever hope to. Tomb Raider is about going to exotic (and not so) locations solving the puzzles, getting the bad guys, the treasure and still being back home in time for tea. Hopefully the new game will build on the film, which was far better than I'd hoped it would be. The film basically took all the best aspects of the games and tried to tie them into a movie, and it worked. Okay, the plot had holes and was so simple that I suspect they left it to the teaboy to write parts of it, but it was enjoyable (and not just because of Miss Jolie starring in it) and pure escapism. I didn't expect another Shakespeare or film to the calibre of 13 Days or Traffic, so I wasn't disappointed. It was fun, like the games.

The downloadable episodes is a case of nice idea bad theory, which I think Microsoft will soon discover regarding their reliance on broadband technology. Hopefully the downloadable episodes idea will be save for later, when there is a realistic chance of broadband being widely available.

They could add a multiplyer mode where you shoot each other in 3rd person view - twould be cool, and you could be other characters.
