I know, that was the killer for me to, the crowd. I liked the event in terms of matches and al, but if the croud were more involved it would have made it so much better, like last years main event.
And oh god that bad, I couldn't stand listening to them so much.
Still, I stand on my 9/10 :o).
I just hope they don't hold a PPV in that Arena again for a while ...
Well I thought it pretty much rubbish.
Honestly.
The main event was nice but the crowd was dead, no involvement whatsoever.
Flair V Taker was as boring as hell just as I had expected. Even the stipulation didn't liven it up enough to stop me drifting off.
Rock V Hogan was great, a lot better than I had thought it would of been. Both men gave it a lot, you have no idea how much I wanted Rock to turn heel and beat the crap out of the 'I won't sell your moves I want to look better than you' Hulk Hogan.
Perfect opening for Rock to turn heel here, come on Rock stuff the fans go whup someone.
Other matches were good too, liked the Hardcore matches.
Thing is there were no gimmick matches, it was too hyped up basically because I was expecting more from a Wrestlemania and to top it off some greasy metalers sang some music which sounded like a racket.
Oh yeah and no traditional Wrestlemania big shocking storyline twist. I suppose you can count the nWo rumble. I so wish that didn't happen though. Looks like there's an opening in the nWo.
It was in Canada too and there as biased as hell to their natives (which stands to reason, not much grief there) but they refuse to like people of different nationally which showed in the way they showed their approval to certain superstars.
Am I the only one who thinks it didn't live up to the expectiation of what is supposed to be the years biggest show?
But one thing I noticed is how the character changed. Remember 2 or so years ago when E+C wanted a title shot (can't remember which one) but Foley said no and he offered a Hardcore title match and Christian said
'But the belts all torn and ripped, I want a real title!'
But last night he was a little different about the belt. Just something for you to think about.
Bloody video recorder didn't tape the last hour, but I know the results of the women's title match and Jericho vs HHH.
If you can though, try and see last years, WM, one of my personal fav events af all time.
But this years was great to, although that bit where the bad supposadly told the story of HHH vs. Y2J was a bit crap I thought.
9/10 I'd say.
And the Rock won!
Over all a good first Wrestlemani for me! :)(I missed 16 and 17)
