6th December for the PS2, but apparantly its not coming out until
31st January 2003 for the Gcube. What's happening? Can somebody please explain to me why games companies are releasing games last for the 'Cube.
Even Hitman 2 is not coming out until early Spring.
(Is it true that GTA: Vice City is coming for the Xbox? Bet it's not coming out for the Gamecube.)
Many of you will say, ah, but the GCs got Super Mario Sunshine. Yes, and its amazing but its the companies who promise a milti-console game and us GC fanatics don't get it until the game has come, conquered and gone.

However "childish" you might think it is, Mario Sunshine is a brilliant game and one that I'd rather play before any GTA: Vice City nonsense.
you wait for games because they will be better on the cube than on other formats!
like all reviews have said timesplitters 2 is best on GC than any other console!

Thanks for making that clear, I no way in hell want GTA to come out on the $H!Tbox! I have a PS2 and a GC and I can't wait until tomorrow!
Often, they put more into the PS2's version's devellopment because the PS2 has a larger user base to sell to, so naturally the PS2 gets most games first.
Other times, it's because the develloper is fully aware of the expected standard of Gamecube games and try to make the Gamecube version the best one of all - like Timesplitters 2 and Turok Evolution.
And no, no Grand Theft Auto of any kind, shape or colour is coming to the Xbox in the forseeable future. Sony have personally bought the exclusive rights to the series.
Who knows why Cube gets some games last. Maybe developers have trouble with the architecture of the Cube when converting a game from Xbox/PS2 to Cube, maybe they see it as lower priority as they believe the game will sell better on other formats, maybe MS or Sony are giving them a bit of financial help to aid in the porting of the Xbox/PS2 version... who knows?
Anyway, just be thankful Nintendo are getting the majority of multi-format games, at least Ninty have plenty of third party backing on the Cube as well as all their first and second party stuff.
