I'm just sitting here having my usual boring Sunday, skimming through the T.V. guide and i see that there is a film called 'Soccer dog' on channel 5.

Now this film strangely intrigues me as someone who likes the odd 'crap' film as much as watching classics.

Now i know I.T.V. has it's stinkers but it seems that I quite often gaze longingly at the 'channel 5' section of the guide (as someone who can't get the channel) and spot a film that i would be watching.

Also on 5 tonight, 'Tango and Cash'. That stinks as well. Therefore i'd be watching it.

It certainly is a tragedy that us that live round these parts don't get Channel 5. I always see some top movies listed on 'Now and Next' (Ceefax page 606).

I bet they show at least one movie with Patrick Swayze in a month.

Mind you, BBC1 showed Black Dog a few months ago (and still I go on about it) Patrick Swayze was a trucker, delievering illegal guns, and Meatloaf was chasing him, trying to steal the guns back.

Trucks, guns, explosions. Best movie ever.

Whenever C5 get big blockbuster movies, thay cut them up with adverts every five minutes. It's bloody annoying.

If you take Delta Force and cross it with Soccer Dog (which I watched), you get 'TopDog', a canine caper starring Chuck Norris and a lovable hound - which was on last night at 12:15. I watched the whole thing.

You won't be saying that when channel five shows the following films later this year.

Saving Private Ryan
Armageddon
Eyes Wide Shut
The Matrix

The good thing about Channel 5 is they know how to make films look good. I remember when I saw the advert they made for Operation Delta Force, it looked like an awsome action film with gun fights and explosion, but when I sat down and watched it I was bitterly disapointed to say the least. The film was complete Cr@p! one of the worst action films I've seen, yet C5 made it look the complete opposite.

LOL! *is gobsmacked* who'd have guessed?
also, those reviews are probably by: the Director (only person who worked on the film) so your obviously going to get a false answer.

and:

the Directors son, honest answer, he doesn't care, his pet dog wasn't at home all through the filming, so the poor kid was left alone.

Oh my god! Just searched for 'soccer dog- The movie' on Google (thanks fogmaster) and it has two reviews.

One twelve year old says it's terrible and another guy says it's the best film he's ever seen.

Arghhhh!

I want to see it even more now. Curse living in a black hole region that can't get channel 5.

Oh and apparently its about a dog...that plays soccer.

crazy.
