thats right at this moment i am thinking. :D

I remember a while back, exactly twelve months ago that i had a Playstation 1 and a Nintendo 64.

I looked into most magazines and loved the XBOX and thought it was a million times better then PS2 but then i saw the release date, it was nearly a year away and i wasn't going to wait until then to get a next generational console.

I was left a ring by someone (wont go through the whole story) but then i decided to keep it but take some money out of an account that i will have when i am 18 and then sell the ring and put the money back in the account, so with that money i bought a PS2.

SO the XBOX is out now and i am left wondering whether to get one now that they are finally out, we are havong an extension on our house which will have a games room in so my mum said that she will pay for most of which ever console i want because then it can go in a *games room* we will be having.

I have seen the XBOX and played on it in ASDA and i think it is pretty cool but i am going to wait until it is at least £250 - £199 until i get one even with my mum paying most of it.

I like the look of Jet Set Radio and that is the game that really changed my mind about whether to buy one or not, but now i have seen the GameCube i aint sure which to get so its up to you to help change my mind :D

From what I read it was the complete opposite. Even Gamespot which has been known for abit of a bias towards PS2 gave it very good marks.

Also Jet Set Radio on the DC was a great game, but not well recieved. It actually didnt do very well, but it was a great game.

JSRF is probably the same, great for the fans, but alot of people dont like it.

Err...I wouldn't get your hopes up about JSRF. Taken from an American forum, the person was saying XBox is really good, but ended with this:

"XBox has flaws, I just bought one, it was called Jet Set Radio Future...f*****g one of the worst games I've ever put my hands on....it has a number of others...4x4 evo, kabuki warriors, nba live 2002, simpsons road rage, wreckless, cel damage, batman, dave mirra 2, dark summit....dude, there are probably more sucky games out for XBox than good ones....it's just that the good ones are really, really, really good....and there's a lot coming out this month and upcoming that will be good, too. Gamecube has the same software issues...a few real gems, and a whole boatload of crap. I dont think I put GC down anywhere...or at least try not to, but it's hard to argue with fact, which is usually what I post."

As you can see, they didn't think highly of JSRF. And from what I've seen elsewhere, nobody really does.

Don't get me wrong, XBox is a very good console, but don't put all your hopes into this game. I may be wrong, but be warned. If you're getting an XBox make sure it isn't purely on the basis of buying this game.

And don't flame me, I am just repeating what I have heard :D

X-Box has a big future ahead of it. So many excellent games already out or in production. Microsoft have the bank balance to explore new things when it comes to enhancing our gaming experience too. They have shown a lot of commitment to the X-Box, so no doubt theres is a lot to look forward to. :-)

Yep, especially as there are enough good games out now. I think that waiting for the price to drop is alittle stupid. Ok if you dont like any of the games out now, but games in 6 months time interest you then its best to wait.

If people say to me "you payed £300 for the Xbox I only played £200" I'll just say, "but i've had it (however long) before you, i've been on Halo for the last (however long)".

If there are 3-4 games out now that you like, buy now. Dont bother waiting for it to drop price as you would be missing out on all the great games now.

oh bollards.

I was just casually looking through the XBOX games section from www.gamespot.com and guess what, State of emergency is coming out for XBOX and this just gets even worse for me.

The game i am most waiting for on the PS2 is coming out on the XBOX and it looks even better, the game i am talking about is Conflict Desert Storm and i love the sound of this and now it is looking even better on XBOX.

Maybe i will get one in August when i get that games room i was talking about.
