I remember a while back, exactly twelve months ago that i had a Playstation 1 and a Nintendo 64.
I looked into most magazines and loved the XBOX and thought it was a million times better then PS2 but then i saw the release date, it was nearly a year away and i wasn't going to wait until then to get a next generational console.
I was left a ring by someone (wont go through the whole story) but then i decided to keep it but take some money out of an account that i will have when i am 18 and then sell the ring and put the money back in the account, so with that money i bought a PS2.
SO the XBOX is out now and i am left wondering whether to get one now that they are finally out, we are havong an extension on our house which will have a games room in so my mum said that she will pay for most of which ever console i want because then it can go in a *games room* we will be having.
I have seen the XBOX and played on it in ASDA and i think it is pretty cool but i am going to wait until it is at least £250 - £199 until i get one even with my mum paying most of it.
I like the look of Jet Set Radio and that is the game that really changed my mind about whether to buy one or not, but now i have seen the GameCube i aint sure which to get so its up to you to help change my mind :D
KR
I remember you saying you would not because of Mr Gates' empire.

That will be good. In the summer holidays i'll have a new unit in my room. This will mean my Xbox, PS2, GC and DC can all sit nice in my room next to my 28" TV.

Tell us what its like when you get it. If it is brilliant, I appologize

Well it may be brilliant to me, but you still may not like it. JSR is a game that is great when you play on it, but the DC version was never really well known. But people who played it liked it and thought it was a classic.
I hopefully have it tommorow, so i'll post my thoughts on here.

I'm also seriously thinking about getting an XBox. But I need to wait for the price to come down aswell. Its my birthday on Tuesday though, so that should help my funds :D
TAKEN FROM GAMESPOT
Unreal Championship Xbox will feature a minimum of 24 playable characters and at least 48 levels drawn from six unique environments. Some of the more popular character types, such as the Skaarj, will make the cut from Unreal Tournament, but the game will also feature many new additions, such as Prism - a green-haired Nubian warrior princess and THX-1138 - a totally jacked up brawler with a thick exoskeleton.
sounds good :D
