And Whitestripes, there is no such thing as a typical day in Shenmue because every day in Shenmue was different. What you described was the first day. If you are rubbish at the game.
Does he say "I see" in it at all?
The graphics were nice in that game though. I remember seeing it for the first time and creaming. Well, we won't go THAT far, but you get the point :-)
"Excuse me, did you see a black car on the day the snow turned to rain?"
"No, sorry"
"Excuse me, did you see a black car on the day the snow turned to rain?"
"I'm very busy, ask someone else"
"Excuse me, did you see a black car on the day the snow turned to rain?"
"Yes, it went very fast"
*Diary entry: The car was going very fast*
"Excuse me, did you see a black car on the day the snow turned to rain?"
"No, maybe someone else did"
"Excuse me, did you see a black car on the day the snow turned to rain?"
"No, but that fat woman up the road might of"
*Diary entry: Fat woman up the road may have seen it*
"Excuse me, did you see a black car on the day the snow turned to rain?"
"No, but I heared that that old geezer got knocked down by it"
*Diary entry: Old geezer got hit by car*
"Excuse me, have you seen that old geezer"
"No"
"Excuse me, have you seen that old geezer"
"He may be in the park"
*Diary entry: Old geezer may be in the park*
"Excuse me, are you the old geezer that got hit by the car?"
"Yes"
"Which way did it go?"
"That way"
"Thanks"
*Diary entry: The car went this way, towards the town. Hardly surprising really, seeing as there is only one road away from our house and it goes towards the town*
*Town unlocks*
...
"Excuse me, did you see a black car on the day the snow turned to rain?"
> "I see..."
> Oh how annoying that got.
"Do you know what happened, that day?"
"this"
The second one had much less of that, and much more fighting.
Plus I loved the QTEs.
The less said about that the better.
> Evidently Shenmue and Shenmue II were the best, no matter what
> Whitestripes thinks.
"I see..."
Oh how annoying that got.
The best was Soul Calibur.
Sonic was over too quickly and could of been made into such a great game.
Shenmue was disapointing, what a shame. Riding on a forklift all day bored me to hell and thats not what a game should do.
Crazy Taxi was cool for the first two weeks.
The thing is, the Dreamcast had some great titles but not enough to cover all genres. Plus they went into a crazy world Sega. Everyone was waiting for their PS2's and GC's whilst still playing on their PS's and N64's.
Sega will be back and they've got so much better now. Super Monkey Ball proves that.
