Why does everyone say 'oh this console is the best' it's not just the console. Take for example the Dreamcast - Great console, rubbish games -you can have a great console but you need good games too that's why Nintendo allways turn out tops.

Shenmue II, then. To be honest, I really did hate that game to start off with, as I found it linear, boring and monotonous. But for some reason, one day I decided to play it and all of a sudden I found myself on the second disc of the game and thoroughly enjoying myself. Since then, my opinion of the game has changed drastically from my original one.

And as for the Dreamcast having crap games... well you're clearly spluttering from your rear end on that one, pal. Jet Set Radio is bloody excellent, Tech Romancer is the most underrated beat-em-up ever, Sonic Adventure 2 (despite what everyone has said so far in here) was also excellent - although too short for my liking - and there are countless other games that are miles better than anything the PlayStation 2 has belched out in the few years it's been knocking around.

Shenmue rocked...at least I thought it did anyway.

Shenmue
Jet Set Radio
House of the Dead 2
Tech Romancer
MSR

All rocked, the rest of the game I had where rather on the cack side of the fence.

Powerstone is pretty excellent. I didn't think the sequel was the same, it was much worse.

All that game needed was more modes of play and it would of been excellent. I hope they have a new title in the Powerstone series lined up for the future.

Oh, and under the skin, Shenmue was the most linear pile of rubbish I have ever played. Far more notable games on the DC were:
Jet Set
Metropolis
Soul Calibur
Virtua Tennis
Powerstone
PSO <--
Sonic (but not sonic 2!)

Sonic

Errr... the DC was a great console, with great games. It just had poor advertising, and Sony made up faked PS2 shots to show how superior their console was.

Not that the PS2 is a bad console... but the DC shouldn't have died.

Shenmue II had much more fighting. And it would have got boring if you could have just punched random people, as GTA3 demostrates.

The thing about Shemue was, too little fighting. I wanted to fight all the time. Also it would have been fun just to run up to people and punch them, instead you had to be in a stupid fight sceene!
