Just to show how fast technology is advancing now, I thought I'll copy up something I read in the tv guide today.
"Scientists can rewire the brains of blind people so they can see through their ears."
Please note: I am not a scientist, I have no understanding of the "inner eye" or of any such thing that could possibly let light in through it to pass to a nerve. So don't ask how.

they would have to redesign everything, cars would be driven sideways, and if we wanted to get onto a train or bus we would have to walk like crabs, hhmm? don't quite get it, maybe space aliens could change our bodies so that our eyes and ears could be separated from our bodies and we could build special little buggies for them and control them by remote, I would draw a picture but my arms are currently where my legs should be and my legs are where my arms should be. Do I know know how I'm writting? no, so why ask?

You would probably wear glasses like ear m***s.
But how would you hear? Through your nostrils?

And what would you hang you glasses on ???
Your eyelids ???

And you'd have to cut your nails before raking the wax out, or you'd blind yourself... again.

How would you blink ???
