Only had a go on Whacked so far, but going to have a go on Moto GP.

Post yours on here.

Probably there is a petition of some sort going. It would be cool if they did a patch for Halo, or even released a cheap version of Halo with only the multiplayer enabled with new maps e.t.c.
Also seems that some of the stuff you have to pay for. So if a new level comes out and you want to download it, you will have to pay money. You have put the credit card details in so that if you do download stuff you will be charged. Good thing is that its optional, and your told about it, and the cost before you download.
I'll start persuading mum+dad to get broadband and a router (I don't want to have to load up the PC everytime I use Xbox live), and then I'll get an Xbox.

Oh yeah., any Xbox owner can send off for the online starter pack after Nov 30th, right?
So far its been everything MS had said. Yesterday I was online with Silent85 he added me as a friend just like in MSN. You can accept, block e.t.c. When Silent85 is online I can select his tag and see what game he is playing, invite him to join the game I play or join in to his game. If your on the same game e.g. Moto GP you will just join that game straight away. But if hes in Whacked and I am in Moto GP it will say that you need to insert the Whacked game. As they are on the same disc you have to just open the tray and close it again, to reset the console. You load up Whacked and a message will appear asking you to join a game. You press the A button and your in to the same game as Silent85. Its so easy to use and is exactly how MS said it would work.
You can be playing Americans online, which on XBconnect you could not do. I was playing a 16 player game of Moto GP this morning and there was no lag at all, people were talking and the sound was crystal clear. It tells you when people crash, take the lead e.t.c. It always displays whos in front and how far ahead, as well as whos behind.
The lobby is where you meet up when your not playing the game, so you can talk to people. The good thing is that when ever someone talks the speaker icon flashes yellow, so you know who is talking. When your in the game there name appears at the top right. But soon enough you know who is who. Its amazing just having 16 players all playing and talking, as if your in the same room, or your all in a System link game in the same building.
The voice masking option is pretty cool, as there are a number of different masks to chose from. I still think its easier to hear someone speaking normally rather than using a mask, as a Robots voice isnt the easiest to understand.
Finding games on Moto GP was easy. You could either select quick match which would chuck you into any game free, or you could search. The search allows you to select what langauge the game is so either English, French e.t.c. So I always select English as I dont want to be in a game where everyone is talking French. You can search for games which have a certain amount of laps, whether they have collisions e.t.c. I normally only use English as a search and leave all the others as Dont Care. There are normally at least 20 or so different games going on. Each game has a screen showing how many players are in the game, the max players, whether there racing or in the lobby, voice, skill level, what sort of game e.t.c. So if the game suits you you can join it. If there already in a Race then you have to wait in the lobby til it finishes. If there not you just join in the lobby and start talking to who ever is in the game. Who ever set the game up normally asks whether everyone is ready to go, and then the game starts.
I dont particulary like Moto GP or Whacked, and probably wouldnt play them if they werernt online. Havent played Whacked as much, as I think its a pretty crap game, as you only have 4 players. Moto GP is pretty fun and I am getting the hang of the controls. I didnt really like Moto GP before as the controls did take a bit of time to get use to, but now I am doing pretty good on some of the races. Of course I select the races where the skill of the other people arent that good, as there are some pretty good people on there that will leave you for dust.
All I can say is role on Unreal Championship, as that is going to be so awesome.
If you havent got a Beta Test kit, and do have broadband and the ability to connect it to your XBox then sign up for the Test Drive that is happening soon, as XBox Live is the future of gaming.

Damn, should have tried that :). I think it was my internet, as my IP address was different to when I signed on earlier. My IP is a dynamic one which could change, but it doesnt change as I have had the same one since I joined Pipex. Pipex dont change the IP often so they keep each customer with the same IP. But sometimes I sign on to the internet and my IP is different, so I have to sign off and sign on again.

Press CNTRL ALT DELETE.
Joking...

But the auto trouble shoot passed. I could log on to XBox Live but couldnt sign in to Moto GP or Whacked. I think it was because my IP to the internet was different.
XBox Live isnt using much bandwidth at all. May even try it tommorow while I still share files on IRC and download stuff as well. Only uploaded 7.5Mb in a hour and download 10Mb. Thats nothing as you can upload about 100Mb and download about 200Mb in a hour. Maybe it was due to me playing games, and not hosting them.
If you create a game does the bandwidth used increase? As arent you mainly the connection that keeps everyone connected?
