I saw this in the paper the other day and find it very funny

---

Neds (Townies or whatever you call them) in Glasgow have been trying to smash lightposts and get a high from the neon gas emitted.

Now they're climbing up big poles to smash open lights to get a high that doesn't even exist... no such thing as getting high from neon.

What a bunch of mongs:

a) When the gas reacts with damp or cold air it explodes and could cause serious damage to moron.

b) They can then fall about 15ft and break their face

Morons

they do react, it just takes a lot of energy input, A LOT. Neon lights, I've never seen them, mind you, I don't go into glasgow all the time at night.

I really thought it was a joke

I can just see the mongs climbing up, then falling, breaking their neck and burning their face.

That's what I was thinking, but that's what it said.

Surely neon, being a noble gas, doesn't react with anything?

That would be why they use it in light bulbs :-P

haha, cool, I hate NED's, always "doon the toon" acting as if they're cool, and squaring up to you ion Glasgow Central, then you pull out a machete and watch their "tarckies" turn brown. Show up really well on white.

Text above may not be entirely true.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
