Only really the PS2 can do this though. The PC/Xbox versions will have to load much more of the map to keep up this effect. I must say though the draw distance is amazing. I can see all the way to Portland from Shoreside Vale, and it hasn't even paused to load that map.
Only got mine just a while back and it is only a 1.54 GHz.
i got mine in december and its 1.7ghz but that wont be able to play GTA3?

I dunno, actually. There's a lot to be generated in GTA3. I know the game doesn't load the whole thing straight away, it only loads and displays the bits you'd be able to see, if you know what I mean, which reduces the amount of memory and stuff needed, but there is a high amount of detail and you can see really far into the distance on top of the Shoreside brigde when it's up, meaning it has to generate all the visible material, taking up more memory.
