There have been a few topics talking about games going to other consoles, and which consoles have the better games and so on, which is to be expected. But the fact is if the X-box or GC get lots of good games that i enjoy, no matter how much of a Sony fan i am, i will get me one of these consoles. I have been with Sony for 6 years, and i am greatfull for what they have given me, but there is nothing wrong with changing, or even sharing camps.
If X-box get a better version of MGS, then fine, if its really all that different and better than the others, ill probably get and X-box when there are some more games that i like, and same for the GC.
And thats all i have to say on the matter.
I want to play the best games that are available on the market and as long as they are fun enough and worthy enough for me to buy, I am not going to sit there and think "Ah, but I am a PS2 man". I dont just sit there and think "Nintendo, pah". I respect other consoles and I am always gald when a good game comes out for it. And whereas most of my attention will always be aimed at the PS2 there is nothing wrong with me going out and getting a good ol' Gamecube or an X-Box. While I admit that the X-Box is kinda out of my league right now and for me doesnt differentiate enough from the PS2, the Gamecube has really caught my attention.
I will have to admit that Nintendo are masters at producing fun innovative games and I am looking forward to see the launch line up of the machine.
So people out there, stop being LOYAL and go out and buy yourselves all next-gen consoles you can fit in your room. Oh, damn the X-Box is out of the picture then....:(

you could always slide it under your bed, and when you want to play it, slide itout and then...
Use it as a foot rest while you enjoy Halo
comfortable huh?
:o)
If it was a straight choice between X-BoX and PS 2, For me I would always choose PS 2, Because I have been with them for a long time, know what their capable of, I enjoy the games and consider it to be one of the best consoles ever to be blessed on our generation.
This is *not* a dig at the size of it - I really have no room left! I'd struggle even with a Gamecube!
Ive said before and I will say again, It's all about playing games, that's what we do and we want to play the best games whoever makes the hardware to play them on.
but I don't think anyone would prize me away from my PS 2.
Same here, this is the best console i have ever owned, but the fact remains if i see games that i would enjoy on the other consoles i wont think twice about buying it.
I'm possibly getting an Xbox tomorrow, with Halo. But I'm no less of a Sony fan.
There's no way I'm selling my PS2, though - there's more coming out on PS2 I want to play than there is on Xbox.
While I completely understand that it's their decision, I don't understand why people are saying "well, games X, Y and Z are coming out on Xbox, so I'm selling my PS2."
Why sell one machine just to buy a newer one, with games you've already played and completed? Sure there may be some enhancements, but you've played the game already.
No, if I get an Xbox, it will be in addition to my PS2, and not in place of it.
