Nope I aint. A big facter has arisen over the past few days with the release of the X-box, though it has been about for a while. With X-box out now the loyatly tradition between the two has come into force with both fans defending there consoles and attacking others throughout the gaming forums, but the fact is im not letting loyalty get in the way of my enjoyment of the games.

There have been a few topics talking about games going to other consoles, and which consoles have the better games and so on, which is to be expected. But the fact is if the X-box or GC get lots of good games that i enjoy, no matter how much of a Sony fan i am, i will get me one of these consoles. I have been with Sony for 6 years, and i am greatfull for what they have given me, but there is nothing wrong with changing, or even sharing camps.

If X-box get a better version of MGS, then fine, if its really all that different and better than the others, ill probably get and X-box when there are some more games that i like, and same for the GC.

And thats all i have to say on the matter.

I was a LOYAL Nintendo fan, but in the end i came to the relize that i would'ent be able to play a NEW game for at least a year and bourght a PS2. I will get a gamecube next christmas and won't get rid of my PS2 quite simply because it's better to have the best of both worlds.

Totally agree there. Is there a rule that says you cannot buy any other consoles if you already purchased a PS2? Is there a rule saying that you cannot enjopy good games? No there isnt and there never will be.

I want to play the best games that are available on the market and as long as they are fun enough and worthy enough for me to buy, I am not going to sit there and think "Ah, but I am a PS2 man". I dont just sit there and think "Nintendo, pah". I respect other consoles and I am always gald when a good game comes out for it. And whereas most of my attention will always be aimed at the PS2 there is nothing wrong with me going out and getting a good ol' Gamecube or an X-Box. While I admit that the X-Box is kinda out of my league right now and for me doesnt differentiate enough from the PS2, the Gamecube has really caught my attention.

I will have to admit that Nintendo are masters at producing fun innovative games and I am looking forward to see the launch line up of the machine.

So people out there, stop being LOYAL and go out and buy yourselves all next-gen consoles you can fit in your room. Oh, damn the X-Box is out of the picture then....:(

well said man, it's the games that sell the consoles. The special ones, the must haves. I bought an N64 for goldeneye and a PS2 for GTA3.

you could always slide it under your bed, and when you want to play it, slide itout and then...

Use it as a foot rest while you enjoy Halo

I would probably buy the X-BoX if I could afford it, but I simply can't, the only way would be to sell my PS 2 and I would never do that fullstop.

If it was a straight choice between X-BoX and PS 2, For me I would always choose PS 2, Because I have been with them for a long time, know what their capable of, I enjoy the games and consider it to be one of the best consoles ever to be blessed on our generation.

My only *real* problem with getting an Xbox is where to put it!

This is *not* a dig at the size of it - I really have no room left! I'd struggle even with a Gamecube!

Good for you Wookiee - I will be waiting for a few months before I get another console - I will see what happens with X Box prices and the games that come out for Gamecube and X- Box and then make my decision.

Ive said before and I will say again, It's all about playing games, that's what we do and we want to play the best games whoever makes the hardware to play them on.

Same here, this is the best console i have ever owned, but the fact remains if i see games that i would enjoy on the other consoles i wont think twice about buying it.

I for one will be sticking to Sony as they have experianced all this before. I doubt I will get the X-BoX even if they produce really good games, for one the cost of having both of them and two I simply don't like the size and features of the X-BoX, everyone has their own opinions about which consoles & games to buy, but I don't think anyone would prize me away from my PS 2.

Same here.

I'm possibly getting an Xbox tomorrow, with Halo. But I'm no less of a Sony fan.

There's no way I'm selling my PS2, though - there's more coming out on PS2 I want to play than there is on Xbox.

While I completely understand that it's their decision, I don't understand why people are saying "well, games X, Y and Z are coming out on Xbox, so I'm selling my PS2."

Why sell one machine just to buy a newer one, with games you've already played and completed? Sure there may be some enhancements, but you've played the game already.

No, if I get an Xbox, it will be in addition to my PS2, and not in place of it.
