"USB modems Worse than Serial?"

I heard from someone that USB modems give bad pinmgs compared to serial modems. Thisd is based on the SupraExpress modem. Is it true?

I've worked out that it only drops keys when you're stretching the range, like we were. Also, I don't type ay 90wpm unlike some people!

Don't get me started on your wireless keyboard.

It's horrible.. I can feel the latency and it drops keys at 90wpm..

But it does have a very cool volume control..

I find the latency on my PS/2 remote kebby very good though. I really don't know how you tell the difference :)

It shouldn't be true -- the latency over USB is generally very good, I'm using a USB keyboard and mouse and at least the keyboard is better than the old PS/2 one I had..

However, if the modem itself has poor latency, there's nothing that USB or Serial would do to change it.. just don't blame the poor pings on USB.
