Games are nice full screen with 60Hz enabled for every game. Dead Or Alive 3 loads up as quick as it takes the light from a light bulb to reach your eye :). It initally loads up story mode in 5 seconds and then there are no loading times through out that story mode.
PGR is amazing, graphics are so smooth and no pop up like GT3 on the PS2 has.
The sound is great, on DOA3 I was suprised at the detail of the sound on the Ice cavern level, as I could hear the flaming torches that were in the cave behind me.
Overall I think Microsoft has hit the spot, any person who has bought an Xbox will love it.
Whats everyone elses view on there new Xbox?

I second that. I dont think you can ever be disappointed with the Xbox. Halo is amazing. The other Marines just come out with tons of phrases, I dont think i've heard a repeated phrase yet.
If you kill a enemy that one of the Marines is shooting he will say "hey thats mine". Or if its another Marine nicking the kill the Marine will reply with "My bad".
The Xbox is also very very quiet. PS2 would be abit louder and then the DC is very noisy compared to the Xbox.
Its the best console I've ever played on. The games are amazing. I enjoyed playing Halo on the pod before, but once I got it home and I could hear what was going on more in the comfort of my home, it just drew me in even more.
No doubt loads of PS2 owners will throw fits at me for saying this, but in my opinion, Halo just beats MGS2 so damn easily. MGS2 has a good story line and stuff, but with Halo, the atmosphere just draws you in so much. It really feels like nothing is scripted to happen. What I mean by that is that none of the marines fighting with you HAS to die at some point leaving you alone.

And to have this as a launch title just shows how much potential this excellent console has ! I'm playing DOA3 at the moment and the way it plays is just as superb as the graphics and sound. I also bought PGR, Amped and Wreckless which I haven't got round to playing quite yet. I'm waiting for Championship Manager and Crash to come out which is supposedly on the 22nd of this month. :-)
If only some idiots were not blinded by pretend hatred of Microsoft to go along with the crowd, they would see that this console is something very special. Anyone who owns this machine will have moments on games they've never experienced before. Its really exciting to think of whats ahead for the X-Box when the launch titles are of this quality.
I'll leave it a bit, 'til a price drop, and then probably trade my PS2 in for one.
Just don't fancy spending £300 for the console and then the extra controller and then the games etc right now.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fully paid up member of the box fan-club, but I don't have a burning need to get one straight away.
I only fancy Halo and Project Gotham Racing right now.
As soon as some more games come out and it drops in price, I'll get one, just you wait and see.
