Half-Life spawned "Counterstrike", a top online multiplayer game.

So they came up with "Globol Operations", a single-player full-game version of Counterstrike you could play offline, complete with story and everything.

With me so far?

And now there's a demo of "Globol Operations", but the demo is "Multiplayer Online".
Excuse me?
Am I missing something here?

An online multiplayer demo of a single-player adaptation of an online multiplayer game.
??????
What am I not seeing here?
Why not just (a wacky idea here folks), play Counterstrike?

The night-time sneaky mission?

One on far left in the town, the other two are along the road, just walk down it from left to right and you'll get it eventually

Really getting into Flashpoint now... stole a tractor and parped my way up the hill, thank God.

I have to be the most incompetant commander ever, though.

"Send your man in his jeep to pick up more men."

So I do. Click click click, man gets in jeep, drives off towards town.

"I've arrived in the town, sir!"

Click click, tell men to get in jeep.

"Negative."

Hmmm. Click click click.

"Negative."

So I get in a truck, and drive off towards the town.

Unbelievably, I must have managed to click on the exact centre of a house, or something... because when I get there, the man and jeep are stuck sideways in the middle of someone's house.

Helicopter flying? I'm your man. Managed to completely flip the thing over, crashed it about four times before I finally worked out how to land.

Now I'm stuck on a mission where I'm supposed to find three anti-aircraft guns. Can only find two, it's annoying me.

Bah, cheaters suck, but owning someone you know is a cheat is very satisfying..it seems to have struck up the right balance between action and tactics - it's fast paced enough to be fun without turning in to a fragfest. Each to their own anyway...I can't see single player CS being half as fun though really, it's much less of a game without human opposition, the missions will have to be damn good..

No.
Globol Operations is a single-player version of Counterstrike with a story and all that.

Counterstrike is a baby game, full of people that have to bunny-hop around, use AWP and all manner of hacks because they can't play for real.

Try Wolfenstein or Flashpoint for true online gaming.

There's apparently gunna be a Half Life racing game, accoriding to one of my friends! But not anything special. You can't use guns or anything, just a plain old racer with realistic cars.

This wasn't the game you were on about Goatboy was it??
