Half-Life spawned "Counterstrike", a top online multiplayer game.

So they came up with "Globol Operations", a single-player full-game version of Counterstrike you could play offline, complete with story and everything.

With me so far?

And now there's a demo of "Globol Operations", but the demo is "Multiplayer Online".
Excuse me?
Am I missing something here?

An online multiplayer demo of a single-player adaptation of an online multiplayer game.
??????
What am I not seeing here?
Why not just (a wacky idea here folks), play Counterstrike?

Just thought I would pop this to make sure no one thinks dodgy things. I tried to say yesterday but my cable was being a t**.

Anyways, Global Operations is nothing to do with CS, the one player CS is called COndition Zero. THis is a completely different game, made by a completely different company. A few TO players have been at it and only a few like it really.

Just thought I'd let you know ;)

Because the other ways would be far to easy.

I heard there was gonna be a counter-strike puzzle game where you had to arrange cute, colourful blocks (with various pictures of aliens, security people, etc) into lines and get rid of them before your screen fills up. It's gonna be multiplayer, so you can play with upto 49 people at once.

Bah! They're all just in it for the money, like everyone else in this damn universe it seems.

All explained in my book, "down with consumerism" priced £29.99 from all good book shops....

Reminds me of another game by the name Metal Gear Solid.. but you don't get to drive a tank in Metal Gear Solid do you? Hey? Hey??

Anyway I love Flashpoint, still haven't completed it, which is great, so much more stuff to do. I downloaded a new map - a snowy version of Koljevek - very nice. Snow textures are beautiful.

I just map away now, at the moment I have a helicopter fetish. I love shooting them down for some reason.

I hate games like Flashpoint, they're too hard and try my patience. Medal Of Honour's okay but I've played a bit of Flashpoint, and I'd chose MGS over it anyday.

Although, Delta Force 2 is okay. On the subject of Delta Force 2, my Dad thanks you for the game Goatboy. He plays it for around an hour every night, he can't get enough of it. :D

Most fun I've ever had on a multiplayer is Codename Eagle over a LAN - it's buggy, the weapons are similar and it has awkward controls, but a great laugh with mates in the same room. The variety of vehicles and maps are great, but it's the physics engine that makes it so enjoyable..trying to fly a helicopter which wont respond to your attempts to make it fly towards the enemy, with a mate as a gunman stuck in the bottom as a gunman desperately trying to aim. Manic hysteria and much battering of friends with keyboards ensues..
