Ahem. We've decided to extend this competition until the end of December to give more people a chance to join up and become popular. Also, if this wasn't made clear in the original post, the winner will only get his/her prize when they become a regular.
Cheers
Ali
UPDATE---UPDATE---UPDATE---UPDATE
The winner will be chosen by the great Snuggly himself, no less.
To compete you have to be a Newbie. The competition can only be won by a genuine newbie joining the forums AFTER today 4 pm on November 21st.
Newbies can enter by proposing themselves on this thread.
They MUST be seconded (on this thread) by at least TWO regulars, staff or notables. Just say "I second [name] for this GAD" or similar.
The more support shown on this thread, the more likely they are to win.
Their overall performance on the forums also counts.
The WINNER will be the BEST NEWBIE as judged by Mr Snuggly on December 13th.
OKAY, go for it (Oh, you're not here yet are you).
Tell yer mates.

I hate to say this about England, I really do. But, dammit, it's too far away.
:-p
I went there Monday night to see if you had a game in but you didn't so I've just ordered it on the site!
My TRN number doesn't exist though even though I was sent one by email!
Keep the shops going though especially Upminster, you've got 3 schools locally and you get loads of little kiddies in there every day!
I'll never forget the day the shop opened, we all went down there and looked about, we had to leave our bags by the door and there was a massive queue to play Duke Nukem 3D on one of the PCs at the back!

I guess it depends on where the shops are and where people come from to visit them. I'm sure there are some who check the web site before going to buy from the shop. But I would have to say that without the website I guess you would have fewer people in the shops, unless all the people who visit your shops live within a decent distance of it.
Having never been to a SR shop it is hard to decide, even if I lived within 20 mins of one I would probably only visit from time to time and use the web site to purchase stuff.
> But don't shut down the site!
Doh!
