I have played the game for roughly 6 hours 30 mins, and I’m on the part where you are given a uniform from the Ninja… where about in the game am I? Beginning or middle?
If you ask me it's a waste of a game to complete in a day. I prefer it when they last for several weeks or even months. For example I still haven't completed Operation Flashpoint and I got it about 6 months ago. A bit at at time...
First of all, I`ve played the demo (from ZOE) for a total of about 10 hours. If I can spend that long exploring, shooting and stuff, then I`m sure I can make the game last. I`m not talking about making mistakes because of my "incompetence" (lol!), simply that if you go after the tags, every decent photo opportunity, and every tiny detail in the scenery that could be exploited, then you can spend literally years of your life enjoying the game.
Is it because I`m stupid and can`t play games? Well, could be. I dunno. There are sure to be lots of gamers out there better than me.
Is it because I have a boring personality, and enjoy repitition? Nope, firstly I don`t enjoy too much repitition, and secondly, MGS2 so far doesn`t have that. There seems to be something to surprise you around every corner.

So thats the first question answered.
It isnt a very long game..
Is it worth the money then ??
;-)) Just cause I beat MGS2 in one day doesn't mean thats it. I played through the first game around 20 times !
So no doubt I'll be going back to this one again, its still gonna keep me going till I pick up my X-Box. :-)
Then on the 22nd I'll be picking up Dynasty Warriors 3. :-)

I watched every video clip and answered every call on the codec.

Only the person for who it takes a couple of weeks may only play for 1 hour a day, for two weeks = 14 hours.
The person who finishes it in two days may have played it for 7 hours a day = 14 hours.
Same time, less days, see?
