She called over another attendant and relayed the situation, at which point she looked me up and down, trying to decide whether or not I was 18. She eventually decided I couldn’t have the mag if I didn’t have proof of age. I was quite angry with this. “But it’s a playstation mag!” I cried! She said, “yes but you could be any one – you could have been sent in by the police to check that we’re following the rules, and it’s a £5,000 fine if we sold this magazine to you. It is illegal to sell adult material to underage children”
I felt like a total plumb standing there arguing my way around a games magazine, like a little kid who was trying to get away with buying dodgy porn. So I took my crisps (which tasted like acid, by the way) and went home in a rather bad mood. Do you know why this happened? It’s not like your demo disc has offensive material on it, and its most certainly not got porn on it, that’s for sure. So please tell me what the hell was all that about?
I did actually write in to the official playstation 2 magazine, so if you see it in there I haven’t just copied it out.

If that was me I would have swore at her and gave her a load of abuse, I lose my temper easily. :)
I bought GTA 1 when it first came out (I was about 15) and I didn't even get any problems with that. Stoopid, stoopid, stoopid.
