MJs guide to being a teenager:

Fitting in.

Fitting in is something thats very important when your a teenager. If you want friends you need to be part of a group really, it sounds stupid, but then again its the stupid truth. Being a teenager you find out a lot about yourself, your friends will make you who you become too. Depending on who you make friends with as a teenager it can effect the rest of your life. Get in with a bad crowd and you will always been seen in a bad light unless you can turn it around, get with people who share your interests, don't be pressured into doing things you don't want to either. Its not fair on you and you should life how YOU want to.

Peer Pressure.

SOmetime during your life someone will ask you to do something you don't want to. If you dont want to do, simply don't do it. Doing something that you don't feel is right can be a very bad mistake as it almost always isn't right. As I said above life your life how you want to.

Bullying.

Now this can be a very painful experience if its happening to you. Being bullied can be very disruptive for someone and it can affect them permanently. If your being bullied just try to avoid the people doing it. I know its not easy, but you've got to try. Giving up is the worst thing you can do. HOwever if its got a stage where you are just really worried about yourself talk to someone about it. Be it your parents or teachers, or maybe even older brothers and sisters, make sure someone knows about it. The worst part of being bullied can be feeling alone, stop this from happening by staying with your friends all the time, feel safe and comfortable with who your with at all times.

I know there is more to being a teenager than that, but I am going to leave it up to you to fill the gaps. What do you feel is the worst/best part of being a teenager. I have focused more on the negative parts due to not feeling to good about being at school right now, but maybe you can shine some light on the better parts and give me something to be gratefull for :/ Come on, cheer me up...

The most frustrating thing about being a teenager as far as i'm concenred is as teenagers we don't EVER have a level playing field.

What's right for one person to do is WRONG for a teenager to do.

There's just no justice!

Or, am I just a whining teenager who's upset because he's always wrong and made to realise it?

Quite likely.

Hmm... wanting to 'fit in'... That's something I don't want to do. Fitting in is living up to what others expect of people in general or just you, and I would prefer to be myself than fit in. Also being part of a group may be true, but you can just have friends too, without being 'in' any particular group.

Within my school, I don't feel I belong. I hang out with people I like, but often we have interests that are not at all alike. Probably 3 of my best mates are totally different. One likes dancey type music and can be a bit of a psycho sometimes, one is always going out with girls who are a bit ... well, not all that nice. And the final one is into garage music (God help him) and is obsessed with cars. We all have very little in common, but just don't really fit into the groups at school, and get along. I do feel I belong, but not at school. I feel I belong in a group I have found with mutual love of the music I love, and that changed my life and me. And the more I see of this group, the more I like it.
