Anyone with the mag on the forums be able to help me out here?
I'm thinking of getting it, but I'm really in two minds now.
Just some understanding of why it got such a poor score would be reassuring.
Cheers.
I liked force grab
Oh yes

So it wasn't just me who got that forcefeild around me and hacked away for about 10 seconds until he died. I thought it was a bit easy. It didn't matter though as the fight with those 4 sith lords before was so challenging.
My big problem with that was that I defeated the final boss in under a minute.
Oh well.
I thought it was good, but half of those 'puzzles' were toss.
It's fantastic, and one of my favourite games. On PC. I don't know about the GC version but the PC version really is good.
NGC said that it didn't have the right atmosphere, but to me, the game oozed it from every pore. The storyline was immersive and the whole feel of the game was very Star Wars-ey. Although the first section (without the light saber) is not the best, it is still a decent game. Perhaps if the whole game was like the opening chapters, it would deserve 70%, but the whole second half of the game is fantastic. The levels are well structured for the most part (there are some stinkers, where you get hopelessly lost, but these are more than outweighed by the team assault and multiple lightsaber fight) and, although they are tightly lonear, you never notice as you are compelled to continue.
I haven't played the GC version, aso I can't comment on the graphics or the controls, but the level design and feel of the PC version is just right. Some of my greatest gaming memories come from that game, and unless the GC conversion was completely messed up, you will too.
