“CHRISTIAN!! CHRISTIAN!! AT LAST, YOU’RE ON YOUR OOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWNNN!!! DA-NA-NA-NA-NA, NA-NA-NA, NA-NA-NA, NA-NA-NA!!” Welcome back to Rumble In The Jungle, where strangely enough there is a great ovation for the WWF Forum Light-Heavyweight Champion Christian (Grandprix), as he steps through the dazzling firework display into the arena!! Backstage Christian hasn’t stopped boasting about his title which he won at Burnout, and now he’s set to defend it in only the second ever ladder match. He looks up at the belt that is hanging high above him, and then points at it, gesturing that it is his and it’s going to stay that way.

(Maven’s music hits) A reasonable pop goes up for Maven (Tazz) as he struts to the ring, this is his first title match ever and he’s looking to impress. However, he’s gonna have a tough job against a seasoned competitor like Christian (Grandprix). The puzzling thing is it appears as though this Fiji crowd are supporting Christian in this one, and Christian’s not sure whether to be pleased or not. Two ladders lay outside the ring, but at the moment the two men are concentrating on each-other inside the squared circle. The bell rings and the crowd go wild, this ladder match is set to begin.

A nice show of sportsmanship by Maven (Tazz) as he holds out his hand for Christian to shake. Christian looks unsure of what to do, but the audience are cheering him on. He shakes it and the crowd approve! However it’s down to business as the two lock-up. Maven looks the stronger as he shoves Christian into the turnbuckle. The ref breaks them up and they face up to each-other once again. Christian runs at Maven who uses his quickness to slide between his legs, and then throws the first punches of the match. Christian is pushed back onto the ropes, where Maven manages to score with some bodyshots. Christian is doubled over as Maven whips him into the opposite ropes, and then takes him down with a Dropkick.

Christian (Grandprix) get straight up only to be met by a powerful clothesline! This time he stays down, and Maven (Tazz) drops his leg right into the neck of the Light-Heavyweight Champion. He drags him up by the hair and executes a perfect overhead suplex, Maven looks impressive so far. He tosses him into the ropes and nails a Back Elbow right into the face of Christian, who somehow manages to stay on his feet. Not for long though as Maven scores with a Snap Suplex, and then speedily heads to the top rope! The crowd are on their feet as Maven delivers a perfect moonsault, landing hard on his opponent! Applause erupts for Maven, but then a great cheer goes up as Christian literally brings Maven down by sweeping his legs from under him-a desperation manoeuvre.

Maven (Tazz) is the quickest to recover, as he performs a Snapmare and turns into a Sleeper Hold. It’s been all Maven so far, but Christian (Grandprix) is fighting back with some elbows to the face! Maven staggers into the turnbuckle, and Christian quickly takes advantage with a clothesline! Maven slips down and sits in the corner, where Christian takes a run-up and smashes his knee into the head of Maven!! The crowd pop enthusiastically as Christian picks his opponent up, stands him on his feet, then bounces himself off the ropes and-WHAM!! Maven suddenly woke up, caught Christian, and scored with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex!

Christian (Grandprix) rolls out of the ring, but Maven (Tazz) follows. He turns Christian around and throws a right-hand, but Christian ducks and executes a Backdrop Suplex! Maven landed right on his head on the unforgiving mats, and Christian finally has some time to recover. He’s using it well as he picks up a ladder (big cheer from crowd), and slowly tries to take it into the ring. Christian doesn’t see Maven getting up though and Maven heads towards hi-SMACK!! CHRISTIAN TURNED SO HE COULD SLIDE INTO THE RING, AND THE LADDER HE WAS HOLDING SMASHED INTO AN UNAWARE MAVEN!! Christian didn’t even know Maven was behind him! Christian noticed the bump though and he looks over his shoulder puzzled. He sees Maven lying on the ground holding his head, and then realises what happened. Christian laughs, puts the ladder down and then taunts Maven.

After much urine-extracting from Christian (Grandprix) he finally begins to climb back in the ring, but Maven (Tazz) shows his determination by leaping to his feet, and as Christian is standing on the apron, he literally throws him off it! Christian lands harshly on the ground and holds his back in anguish. Maven then shows his speed by jumping into the ring and then onto the top rope…this looks dangerous, Christian is slowly getting back to his feet…Flying Crossbody off the top ONTO THE LADDER!! Maven nailed a perfect high-flying crossbody off the top to the outside, and by fluke Christian landed right on the ladder! Christian literally cannot believe what just happened, and nor can crowd! Christian isn’t even screaming, he’s just lying there, he might be out of it! The force of the Crossbody was enough, but onto a ladder!?

Maven (Tazz) looks confident now as he throws the ladder and Christian (Grandprix) back into the ring. He whips an almost lifeless Christian into the ropes and then scores with a Drop Toehold, Christian’s face smashing into one step of the ladder. Maven then picks the ladder up and leans it against the turnbuckle. Christian is once again dragged to his feet and then rested against the ladder, where Maven executes a textbook dropkick and Christian is shoved into what is supposedly a helpful appliance, and then falls back to the canvas once again, the ladder landing right on top of him.

Surprisingly the crowd boo and jeer as Maven (Tazz) smiles with delight, knowing he is in control. He sets the ladder up right over Christian (Grandprix) who is lying in the exact centre of the ring, and then has a quick look at him, to check he’s not going to do anything. Maven seems sure and he slowly but surely begins to climb the ladder towards the prestigious belt. The Light-Heavyweight Title is very well recognised in the WWF Forum, mainly because of the quality of the matches and wrestlers involved, so it would be a great achievement for a supposed rookie like Maven (Tazz) to win it. It’s been held by such men as Essa Rios (Mouldy Cheese) and K-Kwik (Ice Blaster) both who are known for their innovative and exciting styles. Christian (Grandprix) is an excellent technical wrestler as well as a risk-taker and a high-flyer, so it would be an honour for Maven (Tazz) to be compared to the likes of these.

Maven (Tazz) is steadily nearing the top of the ladder, but look, Christian (Grandprix) just sat up, making the ladder tilt to one side! The crowd are going crazy as Maven sees this and begins to panic, trying to rush his way up the ladder-but Christian is having none of it! He topples the ladder, Maven’s neck rebounding off the ropes and CLANG!! AS HE REBOUNDED OFF THE ROPES HIS HEAD SMASHED STRAIGHT ONTO THE FALLEN LADDER!! Maven is lying motionless on the floor as Christian slowly staggers up. He looks down at Maven with disgust, and then sets up the ladder. He climbs up near the top, and then points at his opponent. He leaps, looking for an elbow drop!! WHAM!! He drives his elbow straight into the midsection of Maven! Oh no-CRASH!! As Christian jumped he jolted the ladder, which then fell and landed on him harshly just after he’d nailed the elbow drop! He holds his back, which has taken much torment during this match, and now both men are down.

As the referee, who is Mike Chioda (Loki) nears the count of nine as both men finally stand upright. They both rest against the ropes, neither wanting to go on the offensive until they’ve regained some of their energy. The crowd cheer on their respective favourites, most of it going to Christian (Grandprix). Maven (Tazz) shakes his head and looks ready to go, and he rushes Christian and looks for a Flying Lariat! Christian somehow manages to scramble away from the amazing show of agility from Maven, and then shows his own skill by scoring with a Karate Kick to the face! As Maven gets up, he catapults himself off the ropes and delivers a Spinning Wheel Kick!

Christian (Grandprix) is flying here, and he wants Maven (Tazz) to get up! He’s screaming at Maven as he slowly stands, where Christian gets behind him and nails his signature Reverse DDT! Maven once again staggers up, I don’t know how he’s doing this-SPEAR!! He’s not going to get up now, as Christian hits a massive spear on his opponent! Maven stays down and Christian takes advantage, by once again setting up the ladder.

He looks extremely tired and in a lot of pain, and he’s literally dragging himself up those steps! Maven (Tazz) isn’t out of it yet, but if he doesn’t hurry then Christian (Grandprix)’s going to reach the belt! Christian is so close now, but with a sudden burst of spirit Maven desperately climbs the ladder, and he’s at the top in a matter of seconds! The crowd are on their feet as both men exchange slow and weak right-hands! Now what are they doing? They’re both trying to stand on one side of the ladder! It looks like they want to attempt a big manoeuvre to end the chances of their opponent, and they’re both trying to gain the upper hand! Christian with a kick right to where the sun doesn’t even think about shining! Maven leans over, and Christian grabs his arms, twists them around him and…oh my, I think I know what’s coming! He’s got Maven in the right position and he jumps off the ladder-IMPALER!! IMPALER FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER!! Although he didn’t get the usual power on it, the high fall certainly did the job as Maven landed face first on the unforgiving canvas!

The crowd are going wild as Christian (Grandprix) once again begins the long trek up the ladder, but this time no one’s going to stop him!! He reaches the top and tiredly acknowledges the crowd, before grabbing the belt and literally falling of the ladder! Christian (Grandprix) is victorious here!

As Christian (Grandprix)’s music plays and the crowd cheer, we must also remember that Maven (Tazz) put on a wonderful display today, showing that he would be a worthy Light-Heavyweight Champion. But, the current holder of the belt has proved he is the best in his field at the moment, and as both men are helped to the back we know that Christian (Grandprix) has successfully defended his Title, here in an amazing ladder match at Rumble In The Jungle.

The winner of this match, and still WWF Forum Light-Heavyweight Champion, Christian (Grandprix).

Thanks for reading, Ant.

Great match Ant, nice use of the ladder.

Heh, I especially like Maven's rookie mistake, it's just like Christian to taunt and mock him about it.

Nice one.

Wahey! Christian done me proud and I managed to hold on to the title. Got to give credit to Maven. Future Light Heavyweight champ but at the moment, it's mine!

Impaler off the ladder. That is hard to do.
