So Solid Crew's Ashley Walters faces a long jail sentence after a gun was found in his car.
The singer of the notorious garage rappers admitted carrying the Bradcock revolver after he was stopped by armed police following a bust-up with a traffic warden, London's Southwark Crown Court.
Walters, 19 from Peckham, south London, who has had acting parts in Grange Hill and The Bill, admitted possessing the firearm.
The court was told the warden called the police after he was confronted by the father-of-two in Canada Square, central London.
Armed police stopped his car and the gun was found wrapped in a sock.
Walters was refused bail after judge Geoffrey Rivlin QC said the offence was so serious that a substantial custodial sentence was inevitable.
The case was adjourned to March 25.
So Solid Crew, who went to No 1 in the charts last August with the single 21 Seconds, have been surrounded by controversy:
An 18-year-old was stabbed outside one of their shows early last year.
In May one So Solid member was blasted in the leg after a confrontation outside another nightspot.
One man was stabbed 11 times during a gig at Ayia Napa and survived after nine hours of surgery.
Two revellers were shot at a gig in November at the Astoria in London.
The group condemns violence but have refused to tone down their lyrics, which critics say glamorizes guns, drugs and gang violence.

I can see it now...
"Why did you do it?"
"I wanted to see what it felt like to be shot."
Fantastic. Do us all a favour: try the head next time.

Thats what he said in the song anyway. Apparently he is f***ing crazy like that.
Now I don't think they should ban this stuff, I just don't see why people buy some idiots talking about how hard they are and how many b*tches they get! And then they blame rock music for just about anything!
A mate of mine who likes garage is always taking the mick out of my music taste saying it tells you to kill your family and yourself... hmm... yes... of course it does... well, I don't see people at punk gigs getting shot, and when dancing, anyone falls over, they get picked up by other people. People falling over in a So Solid Crew show would probably be kicked in the head for 'being a pansy @*s and falling over like a p*ssy'... or maybe shot.
Well deserved, too.
Hope he gets 21 seconds of prison sex
:)
> Ha! Which one was he in Grange Hill?!!
I dont remember a gun-toting hip gansta wannabe in the show..
"So... right, we're the So Solid Crew... and we've got a single coming out... err... what could we do to make us seem really hard?"
"Let's kill someone."
"Ok, yeah, that's a start... right, but... err.."
"Let's get caught with a gun. They'll let us off, they must do, we're stars."
"Ok, I'll ring The Sun."
> Ok, maybe.
Well, So Solid suck donkey-ass.
They are really, really
> bad.
I'll await the arrival of 24 angry "gangstas" wearing little
> hats. I hope they don't all point at me and call me a
> "hater".
>Chimps
You've done it now...
