> I went to Chester, which was allright,
Thats coz I live there (naturally)
Me? Well, I was in Manchester and spotted a tour bus. It stopped so me and me mate went to see who it was. It was the Doves - just about to go on tour supporting Travis (starting in Birmingham they said.)
Talked for a while (they rock and were really cool talking to us). Then they said that if we went to see them in Manchester, they would take us backstage etc.
Then told them about our album. They said bring it along to their Manchester gig and they will listen to it in the tour bus and pass it on if they like it.
I was like an excited little teenager for the rest of the day.
My comiserations to anyone that lives there.
Hmmmppphhh.... giant bird/bat/devil scene was great but the egg story was lame. I was expecting more... they didn't kill one dinosaur in the whole movie.
It's very difficult and there was much swearing and smashing of walls with heads and that quick "stand up and walk around the room to prevent injury to monitor" thing I seem to do quite a lot.
Saturady, Lisa works, so I was looking after the children. Malibu was feeling a bit poorly, so I let her watch some of her favourite video's, Sing along Songsfrom the Land Before Time and Toy Story 2. Georgia slept for quite a bit too. I played some UFO: Enemy Unknown, and some Championship Manager. Also went to see my parents, nice because I can take my eyes off the children for a few minutes!
Sunday, Lisa was again working, but only in the morning. In the afternoon we went to Focus to look at wood, with the intent of building a pergola in the Summer, but they didn't have suitable stuff.
We stopped off at a 'family pub' on the way home, and the kids went in the Pirates Playarea. I don't remember reading that pirates spent great amounts of time in ball pools, but hey, the kids liked it. We had dinner there too, which was alright.
In the evening we were going to watch the Lost Boys, but spotting Kiefer Sutherland made me remember that he was going to be in a new series that was about to start, so we watched '24' instead.
Then I saw some pished guy fall in the street and split his head open. And lots of people weeing everywhere.
But hey, thats Wales for ya.
Quite good fun really.
Except we're rehearsing tonight and I don't want to because I'm tired and have Jay & Silent Bob on DVD and stuff.
