Me and a few friends, just finishing school are starting up a band.
I want to make a site for the band before we go live so that I can use the design and update it regulary later etc.
Thing is, I want it to be a quick job without all this HTML and stuff. I have Dreamweaver but I just don't want this all to become to much work.
So, I was wondering - are there any services that a good for web design and easy to use without much cons and advertising.
I mean, i've been with homestead before and geocities is a pain. I know that just by seeing sites using it.
So what do you reccomend?

Dreamweavers so easy to use, you could make a website in a few hours if you've got no experience, look at some tutorials, but Dreamweaver has everything you'd need to make a website, except for banners and similar things.
hardest thing for newbies is uploading.
do you care where the websites hosted? do you want a .com/.co.uk or would you be happy with http://www.geocities.com/yourwebsite ???

You seriously would be better off with Dreamweaver. Knock something up in Fireworks, import it to Dreamweaver which will sort it all out, upload and keep away from us for a few weeks :)
