Me and a few friends, just finishing school are starting up a band.

I want to make a site for the band before we go live so that I can use the design and update it regulary later etc.

Thing is, I want it to be a quick job without all this HTML and stuff. I have Dreamweaver but I just don't want this all to become to much work.

So, I was wondering - are there any services that a good for web design and easy to use without much cons and advertising.

I mean, i've been with homestead before and geocities is a pain. I know that just by seeing sites using it.

So what do you reccomend?

Thanks,
MWA

Seeing my designs involes having the site....that could cause a problem. Might just buy another name. Infact, I'm gonna buy another site right now.

learn Dreamweaver? err???? can't be bothered with dreamweaver anymore, having too many problems with it for some reason, desn't like my video drivers.
I'm trying Flash Actionscripting now, got a few things, made a clock the other day, looks pap but I guess i'll work on it, making an analogue for absolutly no reason, but making 150 images of hands isn't as easy as it sounds :p
i'll look forward to seeing some of your images on viewandplay...

The book was just a simple 600 pager on how to learn things about Flash5. It showed actionscripting, but very basic as there are f-ing loads of things you can do in actionscripting. I might learn everything about Dreamweaver first, then get onto actionscripting.

You and your books, sheesh. Would have thought your Flash5 book would have covered actionscripting, obviously not, try some tutorials out on flashplanet or flashkit, they've got loads of actionscripting.
weird thing is, I havn't used Flash for a week, and I feel i've forgotten most of it! must remeber not to leave my pc again.

why didn't you design your logo then?
+ Flash hows your actionscripting going?

Because people learn things. You know, when you read a book or teach yourself something. I've only just learn't Fireworks4 and my new logo ain't possible to make in Fireworks4 and is better then anything I could ever do, as it was done my a professional web designer.

Ain't started on Flash actionscripting yet, but I ain't to get a damn book on it before Friday. Come on MSN and I'll talk.

My e-mail address is [email protected] - no funny comments.

to align things in dreamweaver, click on the image/text/whatever, and go text > align > left/right/center
but using tables is the good, websites are much better with them.

Thank you all for that.

I been trying hard on Dreamweaver and Fireworks for a few hours now. All is looking pretty good :-)

If I have anymore probs I'll return :-)

Mr Nice Guy what is your email?

One question before I go - I know there is a simple solution to this but do i have to set up the whole page with table layouts to design on? As when i go to insert something it always stays in one place and I cannot align it anywhere else. I just want the freedom to do what i want, where I want on the page.

Thanks,
MWA
