I just hate the noise. But I can see what you mean.
Just remembered another surface and it maybe even stranger: I get that feeling when gently dragging a fork across a plate.
There has to be an explanation.

If you mean do I get shivers and grit my teeth when I touch the bottom of a mug, then yes I do. And I don't know why.
