Whilst the pentatonic scale may sound pleasing to the Asian ear, and whilst singers that sound like strangled cats may be all the rage in Japan, Rikki just didn't cut it for me, although my cat did request to hear it a second time.
Why oh why oh why didn't they just translate the song into English and throw Cher a few hundred bucks to perform it for the US/European release? They did it for Final Fantasy 8, why not Final Fantasy X? (True, it wasn't Cher singing, but they did bother to translate the song into English).
Apart from that, and of course The Bouncer, SquareSoft are doing OK.

The end theme to Chocobo Racing was re-recorded for the English release, and it was absolutely awful! The original Japanese song was beautiful and they wrecked it.

Grade 3 singing!

Anyway, I know what ya mean, it wasn`t the most impressive ending song ever. Still, it didn`t bother me as its a good time to go and get a drink or whatever, and then come back for the rest of the end sequence.
