That's the first picture of Myers in the new Halloween movie, and it looks pretty cool, I think.

There's a toilet view of the Myers' house, with just viewable picket fences and something up above that looks like a balcony. There's a clever view inside, where we can see a Jack 'O Lantern with flashing eyes, which is a great piece of photography in my view.

We then see Myers standing there with a knife, walking out. It goes without saying that he's probably on the hunt yet again for Jamie Lee Curtis.

I've checked out some info on the film and it's called "Halloween: The Homecoming".

*Shudders back in fear*

The film was originally slated for an Easter 2001 release, but has been pulled back to Summer 2002! Here is the known cast:

JAMIE LEE CURTIS - Laurie Strode
BUSTA RHYMES - Freddie Harris
TYRA BANKS - Nora Winston
BIANCA KAJLICH - Sara Moyer
SEAN PATRICK THOMAS - Rudy Grimes
DAISY McCRACKIN - Donna Chang
KATEE SACKHOFF - Jen Danzig
LUKE KIRBY - Jim Morgan
THOMAS IAN NICHOLAS - Bill Woodlake
RYAN MERRIMAN - Myles
BRAD LOREE - The Shape

Sound good? Hopefully it will better the mediocre Halloween H20. Will Myers be killed off?

Discuss...

Yup. I was surprised too when I found out that's what they used.
Apparently the producer of the 1st one had been trying out loads of different halloween type masks (skulls etc) and then found an unpainted Shatner mask in his kid's closet.

They lopped the eye holes and threw a wig on it and voila!

Scary Shatner

The original Shatner mask.

Yeah, a damn lame excuse. Surely if he put the mask on someone else, they would say "I'm not Meyers - I'm a cop/ambulance driver!" Whether she stops swinging her axe around is another story :0)

No way. I hope she gets "slaughtered like a hog" as IMDB put it. It may be more appropriate for Busta Ryhmes than anyone else :0)

Need any more evidence it's going to be rubbish?

Christ, it IS a William Shatner mask.

I was going to look at it, and try and be witty by saying someone else it could be... but no, that's definitely William Shatner.

And I thought they ALL sucked. The first was o...k... but can't really remember it all that well. Nothing I'd like to make sure I own.

It's a mask.
Of William Shatner.

The producer of the original found one in the back of his kid's closet (from Star Trek) so they hacked the eye holes to make them bigger and stuck a wig on it.

This series sucked as soon as Carpenter bailed.

And the mask he wears is a William Shatner mask.

Fact.
