This thread has been linked to the game 'Shenmue 2'.
Hopefully sometime in 2003, Shenmue III will have arrive.
Now I'm not really bothered about what format it will be on or anything, just as-long-as I will be able to play it. So let's not start moaning about which console it should be on and why in here, please.
What I am interested in is the storyline - something that has played a huge-part in the last-few chapters of Shenmue to make it such an incredible experience.
But after the events at the end-of Shenmue II and Ryo's discoveries thanks to the help of Shenua, what could possibly happen next??
So if you've got any ideas as to where Yu Suzuki will take us next, or how the story will develop, or anything like that, then post them here.
**And if you haven't completed Shenmue II yet, I'd avise you to stay-out of here untill you're done as it could really spoil things for you!**

I've got a feeling that Lisaho Tao is related to Lan Di...
I don't know why, it just seems right to me!
And I can also see Shenua being distantly related to Ryo, with the envolvement of the Shenmue tree and all-that...
I never really bothered with the Arcade games in Shenmue II as I was too-busy getting on with the storyline and those brillaint street-fights.
But where was the Duck Racing???
And who says No.III will be the final Shenmue game?

I find it hard to believe that Shenmue III will be the last game in the series. And even if it is, I don't believe that will be the end.
I remember expecting find and defeat Lan Di in the first title, yet it seemed to carry-on into the second game. We're all expect Ryo to finally meet-up with him in No.III, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen - yet again.
But I think we will find out the truth behind his father's death, and that COULD signify the end of Shenmue, meaning Ryo would never even have to fight Lan Di.

But now he has been advised over-and-over-again that this is not the way to go. And now he is after answers, and the truth.

I think Joy or Ren is related to Lan Di somehow. Cause Ren looks alot like Lan Diand Joy is in the final picture of Shenmue II. Or Shenua and Ryo are releated somehow? Or maybe Ximing (that woman at man mo temples brother) is Shenuas dad or is Ximing Lan DI?

Well ive just been around afew Shenmue sites to see what the Shenmue II ending was all about.
It seems that the ending in Shenmue II (Caves) is only part of it, cause you have all the relationships and unanswered questions with the friends you met along the way, and how or if any of these people are relatered.
So i understand the ending alittle more, but theres a lot of unanswered questions!
Looks like im getting an Xbox!
Better start clearing my room!

I have this vision of all the chyumen, standing in a line in a desert, facing ryo, all his mates who do martial arts* and the mad angels**
*This would include joy. I reckon she knows martial arts, and thats what she talked to guizang about all the time. She probably uses the same style.

Well ive just completed Shenmue II, five mintues ago. I have to say what a great game! Very epic indded!
But im not sure what was happening in the ending.
I kinda get it. I dont wanna spoil it for anyone so i wont go on.
But its well worth spending hours on it!

We all know that Shenmue 3 if released, will be the last in the series........... so its gonna be BIG!!!!!!! I really hope it is released. The things I would like to see in Shenmue 3 are... going back to Japan, but still having adventures in Hong Kong or whereever Ryo will go. Also..... I want to be surprised, shocked, involved in the storyline! I have very high expectations for Shenmue 3 if or when released. Finally we will find out everything in the storyline, why Lan Di killed Iwao, will Ryo take on Iwao, who is Lan D? What is the purpose of the clear leaf and the photo of Iwao with a mysterious person? Why did shen Huas father create two mirrors? What does Lan Di want with them, what is he capable of? SOOO MAY QUESTIONS YET TO BE ANSWERED.
But i say this now, an Yu Suzuki better be reading this....... IF SHENMUE 3 IS NOT RELEASED (GOD FORBID IT) THEN PLEASE, PLEASE TELL US SHENMUE FANS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED! WE HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO RYO!

In Shenmue III, there'll have to be some form of love-interest for Ryo, but not in the shape of Nozomi...yet. We should save that poignant reunion for Shenmue IV or V, make it interesting and stuff. There'll be more mini-games, I bet, but it's only a matter of time before they reveal Lan Di and Ryo and related (see that plaster on Ryo's cheek? That scar on Lan Di's? Coincidence? I don't think so!), and some form of real confrontation taking place.

Im on the 3rd disc, where i have to streetfight to get into the Yellow head building. I aint seen any duck racing yet!
Though i do seem to remember rescuing a little boy on disc 1 who was selling ducks(?), and these big blokes told him that him couldnt, so they tried to kill him. I saved him! Im sooo proud!
........Ok this game is taking over my life!
