I heard about this the other day, but didn't notice this topic then, or I would have already replied.

He will be sadly missed, and he was a very talented man who had fans and recieved praise from people of all ages.
I think that he deserves to rest in peace now, but I bet there'll be no-one who comes close to him within the next 50 years at least!

The great thing about Milligan was that he didn't need sensationalist sketches that relied on short lived shock value- he could make you laugh by just telling brilliantly crafted jokes in a slow, boring voice! To give an example, after Milligan got his MBE he was asked "did you enjoy today?"

He replied: "Yes, I enjoyed today. I also enjoyed yesterday, and the day before that".

Superb!

I spent an entire christmas day crying with laughter ,as my dad was reading passages from Spikes version of 'Wuthering Heights'.Jeez the word genius is used way, way too often nowadays but he and Woody Allen are top of the comedy pyramid.
May he always be remembered as the guy who swore at Prince Charles and made the world laugh.
May he always be remembered as the guy who stated on his epitaph...'See i told tou i was ill'
May he always be remembered!

I'd heard of the guy, but I hadn't actually seen any of his work, unfortunately so you will say.

I told my dad, and he was sad to hear that.

At least it seems he lived a good life, and I send out my condolences to anyone hurt by this.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
