This classic game was one of the first multi player strategy games in the world. It was also the best and, despite it's aged graphics, it plays really well even by today's standards. You could control one of 8 wizards against up to 7 human or computer opponents and the satisfaction you felt when you destroyed another player's wizard before their next go was second to none. Up to 20 spells could be selected from a list of around 50, with which you could summon everything from Centors to Zombies!
Chaos didn't really have much in the way of graphics or sound to shout about, apart from when the dragons breathed on your wizard and an excellent 'crackle' noise eminated from the speaker, but the fact that you could play it for hours on end was enough to make it stand out among the crowd of games and be remembered.
The creator of Chaos, Julian Gollop, went on to create such classics as the infamous Laser Squad, the X-Com series and many other seminal hits.
