The main reason I might be getting a Xbox is for Xbox Live. I like how I could be sitting in my front room playing on a games console online with broadband.
But, I was just wondering, will Xbox Live have rankings etc. You know, like a Top 500 Unreal Championship players list or specific events made for online gaming?
Or is it just go on, kill and then turn off with none of the extra added classyness?
Will I need an extension lead?
How much do they cost?
I've got an NTL modem and an ethernet cable sitting here!
It's only a small cable but NTL left it here...
P.S. 128k is fine if you don't wanna use the headset!
Pings of 18 on my line are better than a lot of 600k lines!
Same with Unreal, you create a game with Bots and only allow only you and your 2nd controller be able to play. When I host games I set the players to 8 but also have bots on so you still get 8 players, as if a player enters a bot drops out, and if a player drops out a bot takes over. This leads to me usually playing a whole match on my own dominating the bots. So people would just do this instead of single player and get ranked. Of course I dont do it as soon enough 1 or 2 people enter, and then the max size of 8 players is filled up.
Dont really read too much into the ranking system as there will be people out there who do the above just to get there name at the top. Just play to have fun, as alot of people on other forums dont take the ranking system serious as its easy to cheat. I've meet some good players online and have them in my friends list.
