also DMX's last album? err, what? also Method man does anyone else think: he makes a few good songs for himself, but every single song he does with other people is so damn good! some albums are complete pap, then you geta track with the main artists and Method Man! and it's really good.

I think what you meant to say was "Rap music that makes the chart is crap", just as rock music that makes the chart is crap.

god i hate garage music as people associate that with rap and hip-hop when it shouldn't be. rap and hip-hop is actually good while garage is just a load of want to be hardmen from somewhere like Cheltenham thinking they're from Compton and trying to be hard for the camera.
Oh and also what's with all these rock groups trying to rap. I'm talking about groups like Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park etc. Is there music so crap they have to *try* to rap to sell some records. All that does is make the band sound crap seeing as they can't rap anyway. There's only ever been one group that's made the transition from rock to rap successfully with their reputations not stinking as much as a Mexican Sewer and that's the Beastie Boys.

well being a fan of mainly hip-hop (rap is a singing style don't forget not a music style) there are some good tunes out there it's just a lot of rap that is pop sucks.
i hate rap in garage it's cack, rap shoulda stayed in hip-hop.
listen to that album rappers delight by ministry of sound i think, they have some proper old school stuff.
ah and for any rap fans here Nas is so much better than Jay Z. and no i don't need to say why :)

Most rap is good, don't know what everyone sees in Public Enemy (aparently still one of the best rap groups) and LL cool J? wha? but the rest of it is definatly good stuff.
It's easier to say 99% of nu-metal and punk is utter s***e, I hate it aswell as garage music, but I guess it wouldn't be selling so well if no one liked it.
Hip Hop is still the most listened to music across the world, don't see how that makes it the worst and doubt all those people listen to 1% of the rap thats made.
