I am getting confused here, some people say that SOE is crap some say its good but no one has given reasons for bad/good SO PLEASE CAN U PEOPLE SAY REASONS AND IF ITS GOOD OR BAD

I would have to agree with the general consensus on this page but the criticism is always linked to GTA3. Would people be so hard on SOE if GTA3 hadn't come out? It's really a totally different style of game, much more arcade. Having said that, the repetition is a problem.

-As has been mentioned below there are too many missions in the same small location.
-Strategic play really doesn't get a look in. It more often than not ends up as mindless button bashing.
-Graphics look like crazy taxi with loads of people running around. This is novel at first but is a strain after a while. And can get very hard to see what is going on.
-GTA3 graphics are a lot more gritty and realistic.
-Basically SOE gameplay is ... talk to someone to get a mission... run from A to b and back while shooting/hitting all the time... repeat.
-KAOS mode is fun but mindless. Just run around killing as much as possible.... again not a lot of strategy there.

I played a friend's copy of SOE last night, and got bored of it after about five minutes.

Tedious, repetitive nonsense that doesn't even begin to compare to GTA3. What went wrong, Rockstar?

Just my opinion, of course - but I'd definitely warn you all to try before you buy.

I so hope your joking, SOE beating GTA3 oh dear *shakes head in sympothy*

Basically for the first 10 minutes you'll probably be having a good time with it cause your taking part in a riot.

The more time that goes by, chances are you'll find it getting very repetitive. Theres not much variation in ways to approach this game. You just end up bashing the punch and kick buttons.

The Story Mode is particularly boring after awhile. You do tons of missions which all seem the same. Most of the time your escorting people around, trying to protect them from the brainless waves of thugs and cops that run at you.

Thing is with the missions too is that theres so many in each area. It gets very dull running past the same places again and again and again and again.

GTA3 is so much better than this. Its only 1 player too. A multiplayer option could have at least made this an entertaining option when your friends are over.

I was really looking forward to this game too so I was gutted when I saw the end result.

Its CRAP
While it is fun to beat someone with their own limbs it does get boring after about an hour.The whole shock factor went after GTA3 was released.This is just a shoddy cash in on its success.

Alex, i have the same problem, i am counting my chickens and taking my chances that im going to win because im a confident boy (not an only child) and i think for sure that im going too win and ive got my eye (make that 2 eyes!) on SOE and i want to play it
