You guessed it, it will be out before Xmas 2003, the reason .... probably to distract people away from Quake 4, also due out Xmas 2003.

The latest PC Zone mag has lots of info on the best games coming out in 2003, now is the time to upgrade !

doom 3, quake 4 do you think they are gonna work more on graphics than gameplay i wonder

Hell yeah, and I'm also looking forward to Delta Force: BLack Hawk Down, Vietcong and Project IGI 2, just to saticfy my tactical urges. Unreal 2 though, I think could end up owning Doom 3. Yep, should be an interesting year indeed.

2003 will be the year of the PC/FPS;

Doom 3, Unreal 2, Quake 4 etc etc

many hours will be spent in front of my monitor

Yeah it does seem a bit too early for release, although many places are saying it's released on 7th feb next year. It'll more than likely get delayed, but it does show that epic don't want to go in direct compitition with Doom 3 which is released later that.

Not that I care, I'm going to get both of em because they look sweet, and I'll be getting a brand new computer as well just in time to play them both.

In latest edition of PC Zone the game developers quote "Unreal 2 will be in stores, bug free on 6th January 2003"

Nah, epic will again want to show off their fancy hardware and that will be especially so whith the arrival of Doom 3 next year, which already looks far better looking than UT2003. That is of course if epic 'do' release another UT.

I'm more looking forward to Unreal2: The awakaning(sp?) anyway, it should hopefully do for single player gaming what UT2003 didn't manage to do for online gaming.

I think Epic will have learnt some lessons this year and hopefully UT2004 will be more accessible/playable by more less powerful PC owners ?
