When reading novels, what do you prefer, firstperson writing, or third person?

If you don't understand the question, I probably wouldn't value your input anyway! ;-P

That's difficult. I find whenever I write, I swap between the two, to the horror of my English teacher, if she could read what I write now.

Some times it just seems better each way. Inner thoughts and feelings should be first. "He loved her with all his heart" doesn't work as well as the man actually describing his feelings.

Some of the best stories however revolve around several characters... so first person can't always be used. It really does depend, it's a hard question.
