We have all heard the stories, from the spine tingling to the stupid but have any of you had a ghost experience of your own?

I have seen 3 ghosts in my life so far.

- A young girl
- An old woman
- A dog

All of them were unexpected but couldnt possibly be real.

I have beleived in ghosts since I was young and have always been interested in the subject.

Does anyone have any theories/explanations about how people encounter ghosts? I beleive that there are several million alternate existences, each in different time periods. When a ghost is seen it is the barriers of the two realitys colliding. This would explain why moe often than not, ghosts are seen doing everyday things, like sitting or walking somewhere.
I also beleive death envolves switching realitys but thats beside the point.

What do you think on the subject?

There's plenty of scientists now almost certain alternate realities exist. The problem lies in that proving they exist is beyond problematic because, in line with some theories, we could be shifting in miniscule ways every milisecond, or with every action. But if you go down the every action theory, then which actions ? Every breath, every move ? where do you start from ?

More to the point, if we all live in one reality, then why is it like it is ? Why, in our reality, did Hitler's forces be defeated ? Why did the Cuban Missile Crisis not become WW3 ? Why did 9/11 happen ? A lot of major events in history rested on a hell of a load of coincidence, luck, and downright near impossibility.

I'm not so sure about the idea ghosts are from these alternate realities because in many cases people know, or have relation to them, or the style and appearance is too dated, but I certainly believe they exist. Again, there is science behind them, it's just theory we cannot yet understand or comprehend. Magic becomes science eventually. Obviously not every person who dies is seen as a ghost, so why do we see the ones we do ? Is it psychic, environmental, shifted reality, time leaks ? Who knows, but if it can ever be proven - which it will be one day - then it'll have massive repercussions.

Think about it. If ghosts are proven to exist, then there is life, of a sort, after death, which suddenly makes religion, and ideas of god, somehow more believable.

So basically you agree with my theory about alternate realities?

Is it a popular theory because I figured it all out myself, I didnt see it anywhere else it has just always been what I have thought.

I think there has to be some kind of crossover between different dimensions, because, despite our world's faults, it's pretty much okay. We've sidestepped disaster many many times, far more than is believable. There was a story about it in the X Files comic once, identical idea !

I've never definitely seen a ghost before, but there have been two times when I've felt something I've seen or that has happened has been more than normal.

That sounds exactly like one of those stories from the Teenage horror collection, I think it was called "The Hitch Hiker"

For one thing I didn't find those stories at all scary, then I started reading Stephen King's work; now I haven't stopped reading his books.

I kinda had a ghost experience.

A mate of mine was killed a while back and a few days later i thought i saw them in the street. When I looked up again they were gone.

My dad once stopped to pick up a hitch hiker and when he went to stop the hitch hiker had gone a couple of days later he found out a hitch hiker had been killedv there years ago.

I dont usually talk about this kinda stuff so you are lucky this time

I haven't had any encounters with ghosts.

Personally I don't believe in them.
