I really bought my DC for the hell of it but now 3 new consoles are about to released all inside of 2 years ahhhhh!
I am a video game madman and I cant watch the price tags on these babies £299! The most Im looking forward to is the PSX2 with MGS2,GT200,Tekken Tag,the final RE,the sequel to Silent Hill and a Fireworks game?
Buy PSX2 it will be just as good as the rest and better and by the way what games are on the X box?

I think that Sony would have learned from past experiences on the Playstation in regard to multiplayer gaming. It will be interesting to see with the likes of Timesplitters and Unreal Tournament(a PC conversion, I know). It would be good to see Mario Kart cube and on the internet, but please let it be better than the N64 version, it was nowhere as good as the SNES one!

I am unsure why I said units in the first place, sorry.
Also, please correct me if I am wrong, but you hear about how fun multiplayer games are on the N64 than on the playstation. I am looking foward to Mario Kart Cube over the internet, fun fun fun fun fun fun!

Yes I agree that not many games have been sold compared to PS2's, but the figues are correct, there have been 2 million PS2 sold in japan since Marh when it was released.

Missed the word "game" in front of units.
Not many games sold, in comparison to PS2's. I think everyone has about 1.7 games each.

I agree with what you are saying there, but money doesnt make things work- and its so much of an unknown, espically in Japan. I understand the amount of features that are going with it, but I think that WAP is several years away from being useful. What consoles is it compatible with? I thought it would be compatible with PC's. I also might have all three, its just too close between all three, but if people dont like Windows, will they like X-Box also?

I just thought of something. We all keep saying how much money Microsoft are spending on the X-box, and how ahead of the game in specs it is, but how much will it cost US? Microsoft may have most of the money in the world, but we don't.

Oh bloody hell.
Here we go, (takes big breath).
The Nintendo gamecube seems to be the most well developed console and everyone knows that Nintendo make the best games. I think the total mess up nintendo made with the N64 made them realise that they can't put any old piece of crap on the market, and expect people to make games for it, like Sony are doing now. The PS2 although seems to be good on first look has not sold many units in Japan, not as many as expected and I think people are going to be very dissapointed with the lack of many good games. Not much is known about the X-box at the moment so I can't really comment, but they will have some great games like Metal Gear Solid and many MANY good others, unlike PS2. Although we don't have many atall confirmations of games on the Gamecube, I still think it is the best one to go for, or the X-box.
So gamecube or X-box is now my answer. but not PS2. I am not dissing it. I just think people will be very disapointed with it.
(Breaths again)

Damo, I agree in part on some things there, but I never wanted an N64 even 6 months before its release because the specs just weren't that much better than the PSX, plus there are not enough games in Nintendo's range that would keep me happy for long. (There ARE around 15 that I would like, but that to me is not worth buying that particular console for. 30 or so would be another matter.) But the specs on the x-box are so far ahead of anything else, plus it's integration features for WAP, DVD, internet, it's educational features and cross console compatibility make it a surefire hit, Microsoft can throw billions (literally) to make it work, and they will if they have too, they have invested too much already to back out. I may end up with PS2, Gamecube AND and X-Box, I haven't discounted that either.
