For the past 6 months its been giving me grief ! :-(
Basically, it doesn't like those cheapo purple discs. It refuses to load them unless I put the PS2 vertical. This of course gradually scratches the hell outta my games. :-(
Never had any problems with a clear disc though - till tonight. I watched Fast and the Furious and got all in the mood to play GT3. I put the disc in, it didn't load. Swearing under my breath I turned the stupid machine vertical, still nothing ! It just won't load my GT3 !!!
I took the disc out and inspected it - not a scratch on it. As a test I put in Ace Combat 4 and it loaded no problem !! Typical !!! Millions of PS2's in circulation and I get the fussy spoilt brat that only loads certain games when it feels like it !
I've been told to take it back and stuff of course but this will no doubt result in me having to contact Sony and 1. This will result in me having no console to play on for god knows how long and 2. I won't be a happy bunny if they bill me for it either !
I bought it at SR in Basildon around June last year on my mates credit card. It was that pay so much on the day then pay the rest later deal. Just dunno what to do, wouldn't it be so much simpler if I could take it back to SR rather than send it all the way to Sony ??
Had enough trouble with the PS1 before when it first came out, don't need it all again with the PS2 as well. :-(
Please help SR !!! :-((
