Fist Animal Crossing 2 details unearthed! It's online!
In an interview with Japanese journal Sabra, Nintendo development overlord Shigeru Miyamoto made some scintillating comments about the future of cute-life simulation Animal Crossing.

In information hilariously missed by the usual Internet rehash machine, Animal Crossing 2 will be a fully online game. Using networking tools originally developed for Nintendo's ill-fated 64DD.

Players will be able to take certain items across to the new game, although the details of this have not been disclosed.

Frustratingly, a 2003 release date was mentioned for AC2. As European gamers have to wait an undisclosed amount of time for original Animal Crossing, this merely serves to frustrate.

We'll keep you updated on all things Animal Crossing, including the illusive Euro version, just as soon as we can.

Even though a AC2 has been mentioned we haven't even got confirmation that the first AC will be released in Europe.
