I find it depends on the day... last year, when I used to write GAD attempts, I was regularly frustrated to find that someone who had written pretty much the same post, a coupl eof days after I had posted the original had won the days GAD...
It wasnt that my post was so bad (although they generally were pretty bad) it was just that another post the same day was better. On the day when the similar, GAD winning post was written, their were no better threads/replys written, so it had won.
Very annoying at the time, understandable in retrospec :)

I just won my fourth GAD today |o/
I sympathise with Kyz - I used to pour heart and soul into writing some shatteringly good reviews, but got downtrodden after inferior prose repeatedly beat them. However my first two attempts at GAD-long posts got GADs, so now I drive de forum bus!
