The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Having, this morning, re-noticed the 'fog bridge' link earlier today, posted a reply in FOG Prime (about 11:30ish) and just noticed that noone else has been to the forum at all since.
FOG prime used to be the centre of activity for the site, with, by and large, the 'longest thread record attempt' being used for the general chatter...
I'm not really compaining about anything (just rambling really) since I've activly forgotten about the forum myslelf for quite some time now...
Just wondering how other people view the site? ... If you write a longer post/GAD attempt do you prefer to stick in in the more specific console forums, or in chat, knowing it will be seen by the largest number of people? Do you have nothing your really interested in really discussing about computers? or maybe you just enjoy comming on the site for a quick chat?

lol... Wasnt the problem with MIST that everyone just kept on posting in FOG?
I seem to remeber MIST was were the idea of the Top Trump FOG cards came from?
I WANT MIST BACK :P
Just as I think all the gaming topics have been exhausted, someone comes up with another angle on some idea. It's also one of those forums that can be busy one minute and like a ghost town the next, but that seems to be the nature of a longer topic based forum.
Chat is really good for general chatter, and not just about games, plus the other forums cover the longer elements of other topics such as sports, movies or life.
I look at FOG chat as the hub of these forums, linking Gaming, Life, Sport, Console formats, movies etc but in small doses. This allows people to interact more, similar to the instant message style of chatting and it allows newbies time to get used to the feel of the forums (and learn that some spam is bad spam!).
Through the years I've been here the forums have changed quite considerably, they seem to have changed for the better too, although I know a lot of people miss the MIST forum. SR have it just right now and I'm happy to say I'll stay around for a long time to come.
I would go back to Prime but sadly nobody else would follow.
I posted a topic yesterday, only one reply.
Explains it all really.
